Annual Meeting Recap by Doug Talley
|
The Indiana Ministries annual ordination service and
annual meeting were memorable and celebrative experiences. P.J. Towle
and the Crosspoint Church band led worship in a way that stirred our
hearts and drew us into God's presence. Dr. Greg Wiens delivered a
challenging message and 17 persons were ordained to the Christian
ministry. I appreciate the Ordination & Licensing Committees of
Indiana Ministries for leading the experience. Well done!
Greg Wiens spoke at the annual meeting about lessons
learned from helping churches launch a new life cycle. He identified 15
lessons. You can access his notes by clicking here. I appreciate Greg's generosity in providing them. (Remember to give credit if you use this.) Read more...
The final part of Bill Ferguson's article series is included in this e-news edition. You can read it below.

I remember the day I realized that I was taller
than 5'7". That was a great day. Also, I remember the day I passed
6'2". That was a glorious day! I had measured taller than my mother and
father, respectively. To get a full picture (vision) of who I am and to
assess my growth and impact as a person, it is important to look at
more than my height. Further, to challenge me to grow fully as one whom
God has created and called to make a difference in the lives of people
and in the world, there are many more important aspects on which to
focus than what can be physically observed.
As I think about the vision and impact of a
church immersed in culture -- where fewer and fewer people are moving
towards places of worship in order to find spiritual help and
engagement with God -- I'm asking myself about the measurements and
indicators that will guide us into the future. Read more...
