Recession Proof Your Gift Giving
How is your Holiday shopping coming along? Find any great bargains? Here are some more ideas to help you with your Holiday Budget:
1) Make lunch for a family member who usually eats out. Give them this gift for one or two weeks; they can save the money that would normally be spent on lunch or they can purchase something special for themselves. 2) You can teach a young relative or friend how to save, open a bank account in their name and provide information about money and finances.
3) Hand write on decorative cards copies of your favorite recipes. Tie them in a stack with ribbion and send them with love. 4) For pet lovers, gourmet dog biscuits or cat treats in a basket of course. 5) Plan twelve (12) potluck dinners (one a month) with friends or relative. Invite each member to bring a special dish. Then rotate dinners throughout the year. This is a gift that will keep on giving and it will help to keep family and friends connected.
