Walk for Awareness 
 
 
When:  June 7th, 2010  5PM to 8PM
Where:  3176 Lancer St. Portage, IN  46368
 
Walk for Awareness
 Join the Power of Youth as they walk to:
 
  • RAISE $4000 to be granted to local nonprofits with programs that address teen substance abuse.
  • RAISE awareness of the teen substance abuse rate in Porter County.
  • RAISE the outlook on youth in Porter County through the POWER OF YOUTH!
 
Visit: The Power of Youth website for your pledge form.  Walkers that raise a minimum of $25 will recieve a t-shirt.  Want to have your company name on the t-shirt?  EMAIL us by May 14th, 2010. 
Water bottle sponsors are needed as well.  Companies can help as well by matching walkers pledges.  Print the contribution form and fax that back to 219-477-5845 by May 28th, 2010. 
Encourage your employees to walk as well.  Businesses that walk as a team are encouraged to wear company shirts or polos.

three fishingJoin us at Zao Island on Wednesday July 28th as the Power of Youth wrap up an amazing year.  Celebrate the students graduating high schools, welcome in new members and share in the excitement as the Power of Youth grant the funds they raised this year to local nonprofits with programs that address teen substance abuse prevention and early treatment.  Special event pricing for games and activities will be made available soon.  Check the website and Facebook for updates.
