New Day Employees Giving Back

As part of the New Day Gives Back program New Day recently held a drive to collect some much needed personal hygiene products for the Trenton Soup Kitchen, a soup kitchen located closeby to New Day's Bordentown office. Employees donated everything from toothbrushes and toothpaste to deodorant, soap and razors. Our New Day Gives Back Committee plans to conduct drives such as this at various times throughout the year.

Week of GivingIn   addition, the management and staff at New Day Underwriting Managers is excited to participate for the first time in the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) Annual Week of Giving to be held October 13 - 20, 2012.  Our team will be volunteering by serving lunch at the Trenton Soup Kitchen on various days throughout the week.  We are expecting this time to be a rewarding experience and are looking forward to further supporting this cause.  Look for pictures to come in the December issue of the New Day Standard.
Risk Tip

For project contracts, sometimes design professionals request limitations of liability tied to either fees paid for design services or are limited to a cost to tear down and repair a design error or omission.   Be sure to remind your owner or general contractor clients that limitations of liabilities should be set to a minimum of  insurance proceeds or $1 million, which ever is higher. Although some carriers may offer to drop down and cover limitations of liability below $1 million, the associated premium can be quite cost prohibitive.

Product Highlight - Pollution Legal Liability

Pollution Legal Liability (PLL) policies were once purchased exclusively by federally regulated facilities as a financial assurance alternative to comply with federal statues. The versatility of PLL policies has evolved over the years, and today its applicability is far more widespread. PLL coverage fills the "environmental gap" left in most general liability policies for property owners and facility or site operators.  Read More.

Success Story

New Day successfully places a GL/Pollution/Professional policy for environmental contractor. Read more.
