In addition to performing the duties of executive vice president at New Day Underwriting Managers , Jeff Slivka has assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO).  An expert in construction-related professional liability insurance, environmental insurance and associated risk management services, Jeff handles the day-to-day management of New Day's underwriting/broking operations.

Throughout his career, Slivka has dedicated his efforts to helping construction insurance industry leaders better understand the intricacies of these highly-specialized insurance products as a presenter at events such as IRMI, CFMA, AGC, MCA and others. He has also assisted over 50 percent of the Engineering News Record (ENR) Top 400 Construction firms to manage their environmental and/or professional liability risk.

Prior to New Day, Jeff spent over two decades as an environmental and professional liability underwriter, insurance broker and environmental consultant with several leading insurance providers.

Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and completed the professional designations of Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS). In addition, he is a member of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America National Risk Management and Environmental Committees, the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and is a regular speaker and author for the International Risk Management Institute (IRMI).
