 New Day Underwriting Managers is pleased to announce the promotion of Maureen Efthyvoulou to Assistant Vice President, Underwriting Support and Compliance.
With over 30 years of insurance industry experience, Maureen has played an integral role in New Day's ongoing success and growth. Since joining New Day as an account manager and aiding in the development of the office's procedural policies, Maureen's responsibilities have continually expanded from office management to her current role in compliance, claims processing and supervision of the account management team.
"Maureen has been instrumental in leading New Day's account management department and has become an expert on the ever-changing landscape of surplus lines laws and regulations," said Jefferey S. Lejfer, CPCU, President and CEO of New Day Underwriting Managers. "It is critical for New Day to have a thorough understanding of the various tax obligations and tax schemes imposed by the recent passage of the Nonadmitted and Reinsurance Reform Act (NRRA). Her in-depth knowledge has greatly furthered our ability to provide our partner brokers and their Insureds with the best possible professional support and coverage options."
Prior to New Day, Maureen was Assistant Vice President for Aon Risk Services, where she supported the company's Fortune 100 and 500 customers.
Throughout the years, Maureen has continually developed her professional skills by attending workshops and seminars including the NAPLSO Advanced E&S School. She is currently working toward her CPCU designation.
