New Day Underwriting Managers
Product Highlight: General Liability/Pollution Legal Liability

The Environmental Casualty Marketplace continues to undergo significant changes.  Insurance carriers are restricting capacity, limiting classes of business they will write, and revising forms.  At the same time, there are some carriers that are presenting new capacity for Environmental Casualty products.  The team at New Day Underwriting Managers continuously monitors and stays abreast of changes and the carriers that are participating in this marketplace.  As such, we are here to assist you in addressing the needs of your clients.

New Day has successfully negotiated environmental casualty coverages for a number of clients in eligible industries for this coverage including a circuit board manufacturer; soil treatment company; coatings manufacturer; and a chemical distributor of oilfield chemicals.

Your client may be in the chemical industry, waste treatment and disposal industry or manufacturing sector.  New Day can assist in evaluating your insured's current environmental casualty program or assist in developing an optimal solution for your client that is not available in the standard casualty marketplace.

Combined form General Liability/Pollution Legal Liability (GL/PLL) coverages address the following exposures:

  • On- and off-site clean-up of owned and non-owned locations including Non-Owned Disposal Sites for both new and pre-existing conditions
  • On- and off-site bodily injury and property damage to third parties
  • Natural resource damages
  • Transportation of products or waste
  • Mold matter
  • Business interruption resulting from pollution conditions
  • Products pollution on a worldwide basis
  • Coverage for operations performed by or on your behalf for third parties
  • Hostile fire and building equipment

Coverage is available on an excess basis up to a $30,000,000 limit.  New Day has successfully enhanced current environmental casualty programs, customizing solutions for new corporate entities and competitively moving clients from the "standard" casualty marketplace to the environmental casualty marketplace.  Please contact John J.
