Joseph Cambell was pehaps the greatest thinker of the 20th Century in the areas of mythology and religion. He urged us to "follow our bliss" and express life in the most fulfilling way. He is a transcendentalist in the linage of Thoreau and Emerson and was a friend of Fenwicke Holmes, brother of Ernest.
