Dear Beloved Church Family,
It is with mixed emotions that I let you know of my departure as pastor of the Granada Hills Center for Spiritual Living. My last Sunday here is September 9; however, I will be here for the last evening and the reunion for Prosperity Plus as well as for the Science of Mind 400 class on Monday evenings. Occasionally, I plan to be here for the Young Adult service on Sunday evening as well.
The Westlake Center for Spiritual Living has offered me a wonderful opportunity to explore and discover the use of the creative process in a new and different way, and I have gladly accepted the challenge.
It has been 14 1/2 years since I became the pastor here in Granada Hills, and it's high time that "torch" got passed to an eminently qualified member of our staff, Rev. Mike McMorrow. While he has more than the 51% vote required to step into the position of Pastor/Spiritual Director, for those who haven't yet voted, please do so by return email. You can indicate your desire to have Rev. Mike step in, or you can indicate your desire to open the position to candidating.
In any event, I have loved every single minute of my time here with you. You have each, in your own unique and wonderful way, enriched my life beyond measure. I will think of you with great love and admiration for being the mirrors of my life through attraction and reflection. I have been blessed in so many ways, and I know you will continue to be blessed through your relationships with one another and with Rev. Mike.
I love you lots,
Maureen
It is with mixed feelings - both joy and sorrow - that I announced my resignation as Pastor/Spiritual Director of the Granada Hills Center for Spiritual Living yesterday, Sunday, August 23, 2009. My last Sunday here will be next Sunday, September 6, 2009. Rev. Mike McMorrow has agreed to step in as successor Pastor/Spiritual Director, and in order for us to facilitate this transfer in an expeditious manner, please complete and return the attached ballot as soon as possible. Those in attendance at the three Sunday services voted at that time; however, those who were unable to attend on Sunday also need to complete a ballot by return email. For the last 14 years, I have served this center joyfully and with great admiration and respect for the spiritual health and well being of each and every member. You are in good hands with the leadership of the current Board of Trustees, the Staff Ministers, and the Practitioner staff, and they will continue to serve you in every way possible. I love you each and every one, Maureen
