Volunteers needed at Mud Run

We are proud to announce we have nearly quadrupled the amount of registered runners at Mud Run MS Philly this year over last year's number. The bad news is that we did not quadruple our volunteer numbers.

We need volunteers to help out this weekend along the course in Newtown Square, Pa. Learn more at mudrunMSphilly.com and email Kristin Marnie if you can help.
IMPORTANT: Chapter relocating

Our office will be moving June 17 through June 24. We will have intermittent access to email and voice mail. You will still have full access to our website and all fundraising tools. However, if you reach out to us and don't hear back immediately, this may be why. Give us 48 hours to get back to you and then try again. We apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter at this time.

MS Research Focus

Our fundraising events are critical in funding our efforts to find a cure for multiple sclerosis.

On June 22, join a panel of experts for a live webcast about quality of life research in MS. Panelists will explore how complementary therapies can enhance traditional pharmacological approaches to successfully manage MS symptoms.

Topics include:
 >Research that is improving quality of life
 >Managing fatigue
 >Taming stress
 >Combatting emotional and cognitive challenges
 >Enhancing wellness through complementary therapies

Dear ,

Jerry BlockWe were thrilled to host such an amazing group of class members on June 8 at our MS Leadership Class Kick-off. We started off the campaign with a moving story from Jerry Block of BNY Mellon and then heard from more than 40 honorees who have joined the movement to create a world free of MS. To that end, we appear to have some healthy competition for our prestigious top four fundraising spots! Individuals shared their very personal commitments to the fight against MS through their pledges to beat the average by individually raising upwards of $10,000.

As a Leadership Class honoree, you are now an ambassador for the National MS Society, helping us to increase awareness about this devastating disease and the important work of the National MS Society. To that end, we provided all honorees with talking points to add to your 30-second elevator pitch (pdf) about our efforts. Be sure to craft your own personal message so you can proudly share your commitment to the 13,000 local people living with MS.

2011 Leadership Class kickoffNow it's time to start asking your personal and professional networks to support you in your quest to achieve your Leadership Class fundraising commitment. If you haven't already, we'd love to meet with you to discuss your personal fundraising plan, how we can help and to get your personal online fundraising tools set up. Click here to access your personal fundraising account (have the username/password on hand that you created upon accepting your nomination).

If we haven't already met, I'll be in touch at the end of the month to schedule a time to meet. In the meantime, if you'd like to meet sooner, please email Maria Oberst to schedule a time to talk.

We look forward to working closely with you in our joint effort to bring an end to MS forever.

Sincerely,
Kristina Fransel

Host a special event

Holding your own special event is a great way to raise funds. Some of your fellow honorees are already organizing their own creative fundraisers.

If you're interested in organizing your own fundraiser and need ideas or assistance, please feel free to contact Maria. Or click here to see how some of the Society's event teams are raising money through community fundraisers
