| Pharmacologic DVT Prophylaxis (From Department of Orthopedic Surgery) |

The SGH standard for pharmacologic DVT prophylaxis is: four weeks postoperatively for total hip patients, 10-14 days for total knee patients, and four weeks for hip fracture patients unless there is a contraindication.
