Cerner's New Look
The current look of Cerner is the latest version released. Sharp is unable to customize the color scheme or look of the software. Cerner will fix the PAL/Patient Care Summary areas with blue highlighting on black text by September 2012. Minor fixes to increase the ease of viewing will be released in monthly software updates, but the overall look of Cerner will not change.
Known Issue: Radiology Results are now posting in Cerner at the Ordered Date/Time instead of the Completed Date/Time.
For daily frequency orders, the results you would expect to see at 0500 will display in Results Review around noon the previous day.
Information Systems is working diligently with Cerner to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and are sorry for the inconvenience.
New Notification in Notes: When using "Copy to a new note" functionality in PowerNotes, you will see a new notification. For information on how to manage this message and turn off if desired, please view attachment.

2012 Cerner Upgrade
The Cerner EMR team would like to sincerely thank the medical staff for their patience throughout the extended Cerner downtime. The root causes for the technical difficulties are under investigation by both the Sharp IS Department and the vendor and will result in a plan to prevent future occurrences. The team is also exploring tools that will reduce the downtime required for future upgrades.
The application groups will continue working through the remaining issues. We would also like to acknowledge that system performance continues to be an issue. This is our highest priority. Again we are working with the vendor to tune the system and install packages to address the problem. |
