| Removal of Protonix and Prevacid from PowerPlans for Ulcer Prophylaxis |

Due to recent FDA warnings about the use of Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs)
and increased risk for clostridium difficile infection, Evidence Based Medicine is removing Protonix and Prevacid from PowerPlans related to Ulcer Prophylaxis (including removal of the PowerPlan, Ulcer Prophylaxis Medications Common). Pepcid will remain in PowerPlans as the standard of care for ulcer prophylaxis.
