New SGH Medical Staff Publication
A group of physicians met recently to brainstorm strategies to optimize communication with the medical staff. They like the E-Bulletin which places a priority on timely (PRN) communication. They suggested, however, that a "summary" document sent on a regular basis (every other Friday) could serve as reinforcement of all announcements that have been sent in that two-week period. Nothing fancy...no graphics. So, we're trying it! This is the first summary! We value your comments. |

Pepcid will remain in PowerPlans as the standard of care for ulcer prophylaxis. |
New Patient Banner in PowerChart and FirstNet
Effective Tuesday 4/24/12
To more easily obtain pertinent patient information, an additional, or third line has been added to the Patient Banner. The new 3-line format allows for quick viewing of important information:
1. NP - Designates this patient as a "no publish"
2. Iso - Isolation precautions in effect for the patient. Hovering displays a pop-up that provides additional information, such as multiple isolation precautions.
3. Code - Displays Code Status for patient
4. Att MD - Displays Attending Physician's name
