E-Bulletin Archives

  • Remote Telemetry Monitoring
  • Reminder - 2-East and 3-East have Remote Telemetry monitoring capability; 4-East is the monitoring unit. Remote Telemetry patients must meet Acute Care admission guidelines, which include monitoring of VS, neurological checks, I & O, and RBS no more frequently than every 4 hours. Examples of patients appropriate for Remote Telemetry are those who have documentation of the following as secondary conditions/diagnoses and require cardiac monitoring: chronic atrial fibrillation, stable pacemaker, stable sinus tachycardia, post-operative with potential for respiratory depression, and hypertension requiring treatment within the Acute Care guidelines, as above. Patients requiring IV medications which require PCU or higher level of care will need to be transferred as indicated to receive the needed treatment(s).
