• The Bylaws Committee presented its proposed revisions and they were approved. Ballots have been sent to all Active Staff members. The next step is to present the proposed revisions to the Governing Board. The final approved changes will be published in a future E-Bulletin no later than October 20.
• Three surveyors from the DHS conducted a two-day patient safety licensing survey. The survey focused on end-of-life, brain death, discharge planning and infection prevention.
• SGH was one of a very small number of hospitals selected for a VTE Mentor site visit. That visit was very successful and the results will be shared when the report is reviewed.
• The MD Satisfaction Survey period for 2010 has ended and the response rate was excellent! Thank you! The results will be received shortly.
• 4-East has moved back to the newly-refurbished unit.
• 3-North is being used on a limited basis for SNF patients and med/surg overflow.
• Short-stay needed more beds and has moved to 3-North where there will be telemetry monitors.
• 2-South is closed.
• Jackie Parsons now directs Acute Care and Bea Lizarraga manages 3-North.
