Here is what you need to do to be ready!

Even if you plan to attend a class closer to the go-live date, it would be a good idea to reserve your space in the class now!

1. Complete the Provider General course online at https://connect.sharp.com/cm-providers from any computer with internet access OR register for a classroom training session (the schedule was sent to each MD via email on 7-30-10 and on 8-3-10 and schedules are now posted in all lounges).

THEN

2. Register for the "specialty specific" training session on Orders & Order Management (the specialty-specific schedule was sent to each MD via email on 7-30-10 and on 8-3-10 and schedules are now posted in all lounges).

How to register:

Call Cerner Training at 858-499-6140 OR email Cerner.training@sharp.com. Please provide name/phone number/email address/course date(s) and time(s).

Providers who have completed Cerner training for SMH or SMBHWN will not need to attend the training.

Hospital blood utilization is being reviewed on an ongoing basis. Supervisory committees are looking at blood utilization with Hgb 9 or >. Therefore, it is imperative that you document the reason/rationale for a blood transfusion in your notes in the medical record.
