It's in the mail!


The Press Ganey Physician Satifaction Survey is an annual survey of a random population of the SGH medical staff. If you have received the survey, please take a few moments to complete it.

Here's a sampling of what's happened this year based, in part, on the 2008 survey results:

• the new Physicians' Lounge opened
• the Medical Library was expanded and now includes eight new computer workstations
• the CEO and COS host monthly luncheons with updates on key strategic planning initiatives
• the top three floors of the Emergency and Critical Care Tower are in the final stages of construction and should be ready for patients this fall providing greatly enhanced capacity
• there will be a net increase of 90 new beds when the final "staged" renovations to the old tower are completed

We're starting the second week of this three-week project!

So far, 20 backpacks and school supplies are being purchased by physicians and their kids.

Other doctors pledged 24 more backpacks ($50 each). A committee of teens (all doctors' kids) will shop for the "pledged" backpacks.
