This week, representing you as Chief of Staff, I have
been
involved in discussions with
hospital administration regarding the current high
census at Sharp Grossmont. As medical staff
members, we have a responsibility to work with the
team to provide efficiencies that will ultimately result in
easier and faster admissions for our patients.
Therefore, I am encouraging every physician to
round
as early as possible - especially on those patients
who might be ready for discharge.
Additionally, in an effort to make your rounds more
efficient, I have been assured that the nursing
managers are eager and willing to round with you.
This will enhance patient care and assure effective
communication between the nursing and physician
staffs.
