Wow Web Works Gets A Face Lift

LinkedInTime for a new look with added functionality.

Over the past year things have progressed greatly in how web development can be done. To incorporate many of those things we needed a bit of a face lift.

Inside you will find some new functionality, simplified navigation, a new blog, forum and more. Each of our clients now have their own page on our site in the Sample Portfolios. We want to 'strut your stuff'. Check out the new look and see if you can find your page if you are a current client.

Did'ja Know Tip:
We Can Syndicate Your Content?

Syndicate IconSyndicate Do you ever see one of these symbols on a page? What is that for?

It's a button that sends you to an RSS feed for a web page.

This is handy for blogs and pages with lists of content such as our Sample Portfolios page. If you go to our Sample Portfolio page or Blog page, you will see that button on the page. Just click it and you will see a special page you can create dynamic feeds from.

How is this useful? Notice on our new front page you will see in the lower left a list of article titles from our blog. Those are a direct feed taken from the syndication page to populate that area.

In addition if someone likes our blog articles, they can add a feed to their site from our site. We took advantage of this to help Veritas Law Group pull news feeds from the NY Times, Wall St. Journal and other sources into their site. It keeps the content fresh and new every day without doing the work.
Fun Stuff

Calvin and HobbesAnother new feature to our website to bring back repeat traffic is our new forum. Forums aren't new, by any stretch of the word. What you need is a new vision of how they can be useful to you.

1. For Fun: Remember Calvin and Hobbes? Our forum has a section for Fun Stuff,  humorous quotes and satire. One example is a Calvin Sunday strip from 15 years ago that will blow you away with how current it still is. Who knows, folks may just grab the feed from us.  Check it out...

2. Reduce Costs: Are your employees answering the same questions over and over again? If you can answer those questions in your forum, you free your employees to do other things and your customers get their answers much faster. One phone call can cost your $25 in productivity lost or more. One forum post can save you that many times over. See how it works for us in solving issues. It's paying off for us and may for you also.

So, what are these little icons on our blog and various pages of other website? Can they be useful for your business? If so how?

In my most resent blog article I explain not only what these are but how to use them to create better traffic and search results for your business website.
