Event Summary: Healthcare and Pension Reform
On February 16, 2007, AICGS conducted a workshop entitled "Healthcare and
Pension Reform in the United States and Germany," which focused on issue papers
written by Dr. Michael Stolpe, Coordinator of the Kiel Institute for the World
Economy's Global Health Research Network and Dr. Stephen Silvia, Director of
Doctoral Studies at the School of International Service at American University. This workshop provided insight into the complicated healthcare and pension
systems in both the United States and Germany and suggested multiple ways in
