    Twitter has announced their first promoted tweets, allowing sponsors to advertise. Starbucks, Best Buy and Virgin America have already signed up to reach consumers during this test period. Twitter will be watching carefully to see how consumers react to determine whether to expand the ads across the board.

    The Washington Post reports the US Postal Service will begin five-day mail delivery during fiscal 2011 if the PRC and Congress approve the plans.
