Greetings! This year is going by so quickly! My performances on the Latvia mission trip in February were a wonderful experience, and your prayers were and are appreciated! The Magic Castle in California was great as always, and I'm just back from performances at Kiawah Island along with a couple of days of beach time. We are preparing for a busy summer. In this short newsletter, please pay particular attention to the announcement of my new blog -- make sure to stop by, take a look, and add it to your bookmarks. Let me know what you'd like to read about. Remember, if you are on LinkedIn, Facebook or MySpace and haven't added me, you can do so by clicking on the links above. And lastly -- your referrals and recommendations are a major factor in the way my business works. Thank you for taking the time to share some information about what I do with two or three of your friends who may be planning meetings or events! ![]() Joe M. Turner
The year kicked off with a week-long appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. I performed magic to promote Eton Corporation's incredible line of self-powered radios. The Consumer Electronics Show is the world's largest trade show for consumer technology and the largest trade show of any kind to be held in the United States. With nearly three thousand exhibits, it is the place for consumer electronics companies to see and be seen. If your company is exhibiting at an upcoming trade show, let's talk about ways that I can bring a new dimension to your exhibition experience as I have done for Microsoft Corporation, Eton Corporation, and so many other clients both large and small.
I returned to Hollywood in April to make my fourth appearance at the world-famous Magic Castle. If you've never visited there, it is a Victorian-style mansion transformed into a private club for magicians. It is a place truly unlike any other in the world. If you would like to visit, even during a week when I'm not performing, let me know so I can arrange a pass for you. What's more, if you have a client of your own who will be in Los Angeles, email me and I'll arrange a pass for them... compliments of YOU. This is a gift that your client will not soon forget!
If you've ever worked on a company newsletter, you know that it can be time consuming. I have begun a blog which will allow me to make updates like this on a regular basis -- even from my phone -- and you can read it to find out what I'm up to between newsletters. The blog is called "Better Living Through Card Tricks" and you can read it here. Please go take a look, add it to your favorites, and tell your friends!
The Dallas Theatre is a beautifully renovated 20's vintage movie house -- complete with the original neon signage out on the marquee. It stood abandoned in Dallas for many years, but it has been renovated and restored to its art-deco glory. I did a stage performance there last November -- it's a small but lovely venue! This Saturday, June 28, I'll be performing there again, this time in a benefit for McKenna Farms Therapy Services. This is an organization provides horseback riding and various kinds of physical and speech therapy to special-needs kids. There are a couple of detailed stories about the organization and this show on my blog -- go check them out!
Thanks in advance for sharing this with your friends, colleagues and associates in the Atlanta area! |
