  • Greetings!

The word "eventful" barely begins to describe the last few months. Not only did we experience some major life changes -- new house, new location -- but the summer was literally full of events, not just in Atlanta but all over the country.

I have just returned from a convention in Las Vegas and am working hard on my 4th quarter dates. If you have December plans that include magic, I encourage you to give me a call now! Also, please recommend me to other people you know who may be planning their company's holiday events.

As always, thanks for your continuing support and for your referrals!

    October SHENANIGANS

The October performance of Shenanigans will be on Thursday night, October 25, at 8:00 PM at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead.

The Grand Hyatt Atlanta has been our home since the show began in 2005. Please tell someone you know in the Atlanta area that this is a "don't miss" attraction - and was so named by former Atlanta mayor Sam Massell! Click on the logo to go to the Zerve site for tickets, or click here to read some of the reviews!

Shenanigans is an event suitable for a wide range of attendees -- company or team outings, social clubs, small groups, or just folks out looking for unusual yet sophisticated entertainment. Consider giving a pair of tickets to a client as a gift!

    Your support is appreciated!

    New Web Site Design

Late last year, I began working with a firm to revise and enhance the structure of my web site. The design project was completed in the spring, but I delayed implementing the new look. I wanted to make some additional tweaks to the functionality myself.

A fabulously busy summer ensued, and so the launch of the new design was delayed until now. By the time you receive this, the new site will be up and running. If you haven't come by lately, make a point to check it out.

I am still working to reduce the number of words on the site. At this point, almost all the content from the previous site has been migrated to the new design. I still think there is too much text, but I have heard from some of you that you like having that much additional information available... that it helped you as you were deciding whom to hire for your meeting or banquet or trade show.

Would you please take a look and let me know what you think? I'm especially interested in your feedback on the amount of content. Is it too much? I don't think anyone actually reads all of it, but maybe some people like having that much text available. What do you think?

A Trick for You: JMT Unshuffled!

The producer of a local web news portal in the northwestern suburbs of metro-Atlanta invited me to perform a bit of magic for their local news webcast. I agreed, and here is a link to a piece of the video.

The audio is a little rough, and I'm not too fond of the running caption commentary they added to the bottom. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy the performance!

    Joining the Corporate-FX Team!
    JMT-CorporateFX Headshot

Earlier this month, I was contacted by Scott Tokar, the founder of Corporate-FX. Corporate-FX is the exhibiting industry's leading source for Tradeshow Magicians and Infotainers in the U.S. and abroad. Scott asked me to join their team in providing high-quality tradeshow magic presentations to their clients. I accepted the invitation!

As I have always said on my own web site, I maintain strategic alliances with several other entertainers and speakers so that I can provide additional services for you if I am already booked on your date. My affiliation with Corporate-FX is part of that strategy. I think that it benefits both me and my clients for me to have close associations with a variety of other performers.

This will not change the way that you use my services -- you will still contact me directly when booking me for your tradeshows and other events. But this new alliance will allow me to provide a larger range of experienced alternatives for you on occasions where I am unavailable.

See you on the tradeshow floor!
