Pierce Distribution Services Company is currently adding 76,160 square feet to the Belvidere warehouse. This facility provides support services such as distribution, inventory management and packaging for Manitou Americas-North American customer base. This expansion will accommodate the need for added parts support as well as the relocation of aftermarket inventory from Waco, TX.  

The commitment of the Belvidere Staff to "Best in Class" supply chain service levels attributed to the plant growth and the consolidation plan.  

 

In the year 2000, Pierce Distribution Services was chosen by the Gehl Company with corporate offices in West Bend, Wisconsin as the 3PL manager of warehousing and distribution for their service parts world wide. With the acquisition of the Gehl Company in 2008 by the Manitou Group, headquarters in France, the stage was set for additional growth in business and the future expansion of the facility in Belvidere, Illinois.

The Belvidere facility currently has 42 employees. The company now has ten facility locations in six states and presently employs a staff totaling over 400.

 

September 1st, 2012 is the target date for completion of the expansion.
