Congratulations 2012 Graduates

The Class of 2012 had the distinct honor of being the first students to receive their diplomas on the stage of the new Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts.
 
Ceremonies were held over the weekend. Check out the congratulations webpage as well as the photo galleries for each ceremony.

Senior Tour Success

On Thursday, May 24, nearly 50 senior citizens from across the community boarded school buses at Vernon Newsom Stadium to join us on the inaugural Mansfield ISD Senior Tour.  

 

The action-packed event allowed participants to take a closer look at Mansfield ISD academics, special programs and extracurricular activities. Check out the blog post and photos here.  

Summer School, Testing and Programs

The Mansfield ISD offers summer school, testing and programs for grades Pre-K through high school. Get the details including late registration dates and locations.

 

Texas Trust Card Design Contest Winners

Please join us in congratulating the winners of the Texas Trust Credit Union Spirit Debit Mastercard Design Contest:

Over 28,000 Facebook votes and 83 entries created a buzz around MISD. Winners each received $250 cash, a plaque, a stipend-paid position on the Youth Advisory Council and their design available for all to choose.

To celebrate, Superintendent Dr. Bob Morrison and President and CEO Jim Minge honored the students at a Spirit Reveal event on May 21.

Anyone with a Texas Trust checking account can get theirs today, and each swipe earns money for the high school featured on the card. Almost $20,000 has already been raised through the Debit Spirit Card program. 
Heart Health Challenge

As part of its commitment to improve the heart health of the communities it serves, Methodist Mansfield Medical Center partnered with Mansfield ISD to challenge school principals to a 12-week heart health challenge.

This week, the top-performing schools were announced, and Methodist Mansfield presented a total of $5,000 in cash prizes to Principal Gary Manns at Mary Jo Sheppard Elementary and Carmelynn Bragiel of the Special Education Department and their staff for winning the Heart Health Challenge. Mansfield HS Theater Wins Awards      

 

Congratulations to the Mansfield High School Theater students. The school's musical production of Seussical won six Betty Lynn Buckley Awards during the Thursday, May 24 award ceremony. Read more.  

 

Anderson Elementary Entrepreneurs   
 
Charlotte Anderson third graders studied economics this six weeks and learned real-world connections by planning and operating a successful business at school for three days. Read more
