District Announces Senior Tour

Mansfield ISD invites residents who are 55 years of age and over to come aboard the inaugural Senior Tour to learn about the district and get to know Dr. Bob Morrison, Superintendent of Schools.  

 

The event will take place on May 24, and will include a walking tour of various campuses, entertainment by students and a closer look into today's academics. Learn more. 

2012 Teachers of the Year

Mansfield ISD is proud to present the 2012 Teachers of the Year.

Teachers of the Year were selected at each school in the MISD. From those, a committee selected three finalists for elementary, and three from the secondary (intermediate, middle and high) schools.

Mark your calendars with the 2012 high school graduation dates! 

 

All Mansfield ISD high school graduation ceremonies will be held at the new Center for the Performing Arts, located at 1110 West Debbie Lane, Mansfield, TX 76063. 

 

Logo Art Contest: Deadline Extended  

 

Mansfield ISD is extending the search for original logo artwork for the new district motto - Inspire. Achieve. Excel.

The Logo Art Contest has been reopened to allow for additional entries from the community to be included. The first attempt to gather logo entries garnered some potential candidates, but the decision was made to reopen the contest and extend the deadline so that a larger pool of entries could be considered.

Artwork will be be accepted through Friday, May 4. More details. 
Student Recognition Spotlight

  

National Achievement Scholarship Winners  

 

Congratulations to Moriah S. Smoot, from Mansfield High School and Kristyn B. Williams, from Timberview High School for being named winners of the 2012 National Achievement Scholarship. Read more.  

 

Wester Middle School Student Council

The Student Council members of Wester Middle School were recently commended by the Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) for contributing $7,650 to the public through donations of time, goods and money to local, state, national and international needs during the 2011 - 2012 school year. The members hosted a Veteran's Day breakfast and program, donated money to various causes, held campus and community beautification activities and much more. Great job!

Legacy High School Softball   

 

The Legacy High School softball team made history for their school by ranking first in state in Class 5A in the Texas Girls Coaches Association after clinching the championship in a game against Duncanville. Read the article

Mansfield Memorial 5K Run/Walk:  
Spread the word about the 2nd Annual Mansfield Memorial Chipped and Sanctioned 5K Run/Walk! The event will take place on Saturday, May 26, at Katherine Rose Memorial Park. More details.   

MISD Education Foundation Golf Tournament:  
One of the MISD Education Foundation's most successful fundraising events is the Annual Golf Tournament, which will take place at the Walnut Creek Country Club on June 18. More details.
