2011-12 School Calendar Survey

Calendar SurveyThe Mansfield ISD Districtwide Educational Improvement Committee (DEIC), made up of staff, parents and community members, recently selected two options as finalists for the 2011-12 MISD School Year Calendar.

Mansfield ISD is seeking input through a survey to assist in determining which option will be best for our staff, students and school community.

Take a careful look at both options and select the one you like by answering the survey at the bottom of the survey page.

Thank you for assisting the district with this process. The survey will run through January 7, 2011. If you have any questions/comments, please call 817-299-6345 or e-mail info@misdmail.org.

We like to feature stories out of the student newspapers that are available online thanks to the efforts of our high school journalism classes. Be sure to check out all of the great articles, features, commentary, photos, videos and more that these students create.

On Dec. 13, three of our students were arrested and charged with the theft of nearly $50,000 in computers taken from the journalism rooms over the Thanksgiving break. It should be remembered though, that three students do not represent Summit High as a whole.

We should not be defined by a handful of people that make poor choices. This student body is better than that. We should focus on the positive things our students do.

Our building is filled with students that have strong morals and spend every day making good decisions and trying to do the things the right way. Many of those students are angry about the theft that occurred on our campus. Many of them tried to help.
