In Memoriam: Annette Perry Your Mansfield ISD Blog
We were saddened to learn of the passing of Annette Perry over the
weekend. Mrs. Perry, who was the
namesake for Annette Perry Elementary School in south Mansfield,
lost her battle with cancer. "The Perry Elementary
Campus Family is deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Mrs. Perry,"
said Sondra Thomas, Perry Elementary Principal. "She was a
remarkable lady, and I feel very blessed to have known Annette. She
enjoyed visiting the campus, and the students loved Mrs. Perry's visits.
"As a campus we will do our best to carry on her legacy that
all students are capable of making great strides and reaching to new
heights." Read more on the District blog or visit the online Guest Book.

Rock Stars of Energy Management
Facilities and OperationsMansfield ISD's efforts in energy conservation and management is helping us reach rock star status: Mansfield ISD joins EPA ENERGY STAR Leaders list, an
elite group of organizations that have improved energy efficiency across
all of the buildings in a portfolio. In the last year alone, MISD has reduced its greenhouse gas
emissions by more than 4,000 metric tons, the equivalent of planting
more than 1,000 acres of trees. Energy Champion happily keeps District in the dark, Suzanne Stevens, an aide at Smith Elementary, was recently recognized as
the Mansfield ISD Energy Champion of the Year. [Includes video on the Watt Watchers program] Rock on! |
