2008-2009 Parent Survey

As a part of our educational improvement planning, Mansfield ISD Administration is conducting its annual survey to gain important feedback on how you rate your child's education. The results from this survey will assist us in determining whether enhancements need to be made in our curriculum and instruction. As we continually strive to address your needs, we ask that you complete our 2008-09 school year survey. (Note: This survey closes Friday April 3, 2009.)
Three Area Superintendents will oversee campuses in 2009-10
MISD leadership transition planning

Beginning in the Fall of 2009, the Mansfield ISD schools will be aligned into three areas in order to better serve the instructional and administrative needs of the campuses.

The new areas are made up of seven elementary schools, two intermediate schools, two middle schools, and two high schools.

Currently, the District's schools are administratively served by two Assistant Superintendents of Elementary and Secondary Education, Dr. Sarah Jandrucko and Mr. Darrell Sneed respectively. In the 2009-2010 organizational structure established by incoming Superintendent, Dr. Bob Morrison, these administrators will be transitioned into Area Superintendents. The District is in the process of hiring for the third Area Superintendent position.

Read the full release plus see the chart of campus in the areas.

Taver-Rendon 4th Graders take an Austin Roadtrip

0809Calendar

Mansfield ISD fourth grade teachers at Tarver-Rendon Elementary took their classrooms on the road to Austin with Education in Action's "Proud to be Texan" experiential learning day program, March 26, 2009.  Students visited the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and the Texas State Capitol and experienced what they are learning in fourth grade Texas History.

On the way to Austin, students discussed why Texans are so proud of their unique heritage and participated in activities and games in preparation for their visit.  In Austin the students visited the State Capitol where their legislators, The Honorable Wendy Davis, State Senator, District 10 and The Honorable Chris Turner, State Representative, District 96, office.  Students saw first-hand where Texas laws are made as they toured the State Capitol including the Senate and House of Representatives chambers.
