As a reminder, the Mansfield ISD Board of Education secured Horn, Smith, Wood

develop the profile for seeking a new superintendent.
The
board sought observations and suggestions from a variety of
stakeholders within the district community to finalize the profile.
This information was to be compiled and reported back to the board

The Ben Barber Auto Tech students and staff raised over $21,000 and purchased 425
bicycles in the second annual Bikes for Angels fundraiser. These
bicycles will be delivered to campuses where counselors have identified
needy students whose parents can then come and get a bicycle for
Christmas. The fundraising goal this year was $10,000.
Rick Curlee, Automotive Coordinator, said this of the project, "I have
been teaching for 20 years and I have never seen students get as
excited as they do for Bikes for Angels. I have had a few of our kids
come to me and say that they were angel tree kids when they were
younger. We teach many areas in our schools today but I feel one of our
most important life skills to teach our kids is the Joy of Giving."
