Kindergarten Round-Up
April 17, 2008 8:30-11:30 AM and 1:00-3:30 PM

The registration will take place on the student's home campus.

Note: Cabaniss Elementary Round-Up will take place at Thelma Jones

Parent/guardian must bring the following documents at the time of registration:

  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Shot records
  • Social security card
  • Proof of residency (current electric, gas or water bill only)
  • Driver's license or picture I.D.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact the school or Dr. Sarah K. Jandrucko, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education, at (817) 299-6320.

Students win state SkillsUSA

SkillsUSAA team of four Mansfield ISD Construction Technology students won first place in their competition at the Texas State SkillsUSA contest April 4 in Corpus Cristi and now will go on to the national competition in June.

The students are:

J.R. Buford - Summit High
T.J. Syverson - Summit High
Francisco Rodriguez - Legacy High
Joel Ash - Timberview High

These four students go on to represent Texas by competing in the national SkillsUSA competition in Kansas City, Mo. June 24-27.

8th Grade to 9th Grade Orientation
Parent Info Programs Thursday, April 17

This week, (April 14-17) the high school counselors are conducting orientation sessions at the district's five middle schools. The purpose of these sessions is to familiarize students with the class of 2012 graduation requirements, attendance regulations, and special program requirements. The counselors will also help students make preliminary course decisions for his/her 9th grade year.

The high school counselors will explain this information to parents and students at their Parent Information Program on Thursday, April 17, 7:00 - 8:00 PM. Please note the following sites for each high school:

Legacy High School - Cafeteria/Commons Area
Mansfield High School - Cafeteria/Commons Area
Summit High School - Cafeteria/Commons Area
Timberview High School - Cafeteria/Commons Area

Parents are invited to attend this meeting in order that you may assist your student in making his or her educational decisions.

Mansfield HS One Act Play Statebound
First One Act Play Production from MISD to qualify for state
Mansfield HS One Act Play Production Heads to State

Mansfield High School U.I.L. One Act Play competes at the State Contest in Austin on April 26th, 2008.

The play, Epic Proportions by Larry Coen and David Crane will be performed by the group prior to the state contest.

A FREE public performance at the Willie Pigg Auditorium Wednesday April 23, 2008 at 7:00 PM. The show lasts approximately 40 minutes and is suitable for all ages.

By the numbers: 15 cast members, 4 crew members, 3 alternates, 2 directors.

Summer SchoolThe Mansfield ISD will offer summer school, testing and programs for grades pre-k through high school.
