Student Minor Procedures Lab @ BBCTA
Mansfield ISD's Ben Barber Career and Technology Academy took a leap
forward with the opening of a new Student Minor Procedures Laboratory,
funded with a $25,000 grant from Methodist Mansfield Medical Center.
The new lab will ensure health occupation students at Ben Barber get a
head start on their medical career.
The lab simulates scenarios students would face if employed in a
physician's office or clinic. "We will be able to teach them assessment
skills, as well as procedures such as suturing, EKG, and phlebotomy,
just to name a few," says Larry Bailey RN, BA, BSN, HSTE, Academy chair
