Changes to High School Parking Guidelines

tire

The Mansfield ISD has changed its parking lot procedures and consequences for students leaving campus without permission.

All students attending Ben Barber Career Tech Academy must display a sticker on the windshield that designates the day and period they are allowed to leave their assigned high school for classes at Ben Barber.

Stickers can be obtained only on the Ben Barber campus.

Any student that is caught attempting to leave campus, goes off campus, or returns to campus without permission will now lose parking privileges for nine weeks. This includes passengers as well as drivers of vehicles not authorized to be off campus during the school day.

180 Teddy Bears Head for Area Hospital
Kindness and Empathy taught here:

Teddy Bears
180 Teddy bears are on their way to help make kids feel better. From February 1-14, the seven kindergarten classes at Roberta Tipps Elementary School took part in a teddy bear drive for Cook Children's Hospital of Fort Worth.  The students collected new teddy bears and other kinds of stuffed animals to be given out to children that are staying in the hospital by the Pastoral Care staff.

"We did this drive in conjunction with Valentine's Day because this is the time of the year that we focus on caring for others," said kindergarten teacher, Jennifer Redmond. "We are hoping that this service project will help our little ones see the need to care for others that are not just in our classroom or school."
