Attention! Attention! It is that time of year again! We only have 4 months until Noho Pride! After last year's amazing effort, we would like to thank all the volunteers who made this past year's event possible.
This year is looking really exciting, as we have revamped our volunteer program with new perks, new opportunities and a new schedule. Ever wanted to help run a parade? You can at Noho Pride 2012! Ever wanted to work on a stage crew to help pull off the perfect show? You can do it as a volunteer! We need volunteers to help with parking, running the stage and green room, selling merchandise, setting up, taking down and many other areas! All volunteers will have free designated parking close to the main event. You will be sure to have a good time! If you are interested, please go to www.nohopride.org and submit the form. OR join us THIS Friday at our annual public meeting: When: FRIDAY JANUARY 6, 2012 Time: 7:00pm Where: The Quaker Meeting Space, 43 Center St, 2nd Floor, Northampton, MA The meeting space is accessible and they try very hard to be fragrance free too, so folks should please refrain from wearing perfume/cologne. SPONSORSHIP and DONATIONS
In 1982 Northampton held its first liberation Pride march despite the overwhelmingly homophobic and discriminatory realities facing LGBT people nation-wide. Our Pride event, annually held in May, now draws thousands of people from New England and beyond. Our Pride event has evolved from people marching with bags on their heads into a day that brings diverse communities together to celebrate the freedom of being who we are. Through the long-lasting volunteer efforts of local community members and the leadership of Noho Pride, in 2011 we celebrated our 30th anniversary of LGBT pride and fight for equality. With sponsorships, donations and fundraisers, we are able to offer this extraordinary day of LGBT Pride totally FREE to everyone. So please consider becoming a Noho Pride sponsor and\or making a donation.
