is a joint project between the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials
(ASTHO) in Washington, DC, and the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota.

EMERGENCY CARE FOR CHILDREN

IN THIS PRACTICE
:
More than 40 agencies and hospitals in 5 states created a network to serve children's unique healthcare needs during a regional disaster.

AUTISM AND DISASTERS
 
IN THIS PRACTICE:
A Minnesota council developed resources and a smartphone app for parents and responders helping kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder during an emergency.

ABUSE/NEGLECT SERVICE CONTINUITY
 
IN THIS PRACTICE: During H1N1, Arizona made sure that cases of child abuse/neglect could be addressed, while court and Child Protective Services employees stayed safe.
