INTERACTIVE RISK ASSESSMENT

The My Hazards Web site allows Californians to search for information on local hazards. The site provides:
  • Status of wildfires, earthquakes, floods, and tsunamis
  • Risk severity for each hazard
  • Preparedness activities

IN THIS PRACTICE:
An Illinois county built community-specific maps to help locate people and infrastructure at risk from severe flooding.

IN THIS PRACTICE:
A San Diego coalition used community health workers, churches, asset inventories, and training to empower farmworker communities to prepare for wildfires.
