Student Familiar Face At State Capitol Housatonic Community College student Abe Pulido has been a familiar face at the State Capitol ... in a manner of speaking. For the last two weeks of March. Pulido's visage and a message about Housatonic appeared on a large poster that was hung in the concourse linking the Legislative Office Building to the State Capitol building. His message: "Housatonic is committed to your success. Its faculty is willing to work with you to help you achieve your goals." .

HCC Holds First Annual
Day of Community Service
Housatonic Community College faculty, staff and students rolled up their sleeves recently to "give back" to the community. As part of the first "HCC Day of Community Service," the HCC volunteers contributed their time to working in the community gardens, food pantry and clothing closet at the United Congregational Church, 877 Park Avenue. The program was held in conjunction with the President's Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge, an initiative in which institutions of higher education commit to a year of interfaith and community service programming on campus. Housatonic was invited to participate by the White House.
