President Gliniecki Visits White House

Housatonic President Anita T. Gliniecki attended a White House reception by invitation Sept. 30 to participate in a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. At the reception, President Obama asked attendees to continue their efforts to help Hispanic students complete high school, attend college and graduate. Housatonic has launched an initiative to bring the percentage of Hispanic students to 25 percent of the student body, which would enable the college to become a Hispanic-serving Institution and qualify for federal funds allocated for Hispanic educational initiatives. |
