Greetings!
As the holiday season approaches let me start by saying I wish you health, peace and success through the rest of 2011 and in the New Year. It is the time of year that many athletes return home for a quick Christmas break and time away from their busy competitive schedules. Make sure you use the time to mentally relax and take in all the sights, sounds, tastes and tales that being around friends and family will bring. EveryBODY needs a break so embrace it and rejuvenate! This time of year also has many winter athletes evaluating the first part of their season and I would urge you to be realistic in this. My gift to you this time of year would be to help you learn to practice "PATIENCE". I know that every elite athlete wants to win, or at the very least, improve on their best performance. When the results don't come it is easy to become impatient and get down on yourself. You can't win all the time but you can always work on becoming better. Eventually, if you do this, the winning and achieving will take care of itself!
Cheers, Jan
