Greetings!

St. Michael Fasulo took his time to demo a glass block wall with few losses. |
There's something about the Hope Center that keeps folks coming and staying. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh committed itself to sending as many as six volunteers to work four five-hour days at Hope. On the last day of that cycle, 24 people doing some down and dirty demo work on a very hot day. And, they keep coming back . . . pulling hundreds of nails and undoing a century of "improvements" as we transform the defunct "Amos and Sarah Holden Home" into the Hope Center, a center of faith and action as we do out part to create the Beloved Community. Click here to view some great photos of the work . . . Speaking of work - we sure could use some help with our striptease act - stripping paint, sanding, prepping and painting - restoring - the extraordinary double parlors of the awesome Holden Home. If you can give us an hour or two any day of the week except Sunday (Sabbath, you know!), send a note, including contact information, to sower@ecclesianewburgh.org and we'll make sure you're set to go. If you prefer, you can call Ruth at 914-466-0066 or Steve at 845-527-0405. Too far to drive? Too busy? No problem! You can help us to buy paint and other supplies and to cover the cost of having the floors refinished. You tax-deductible contribution can be mailed to Ecclesia Ministries of Newburgh, PO Box 1621, Newburgh, NY 12550. |
