Fall Conference Planned
An invitational conference for policy and decision-makers on Diversity & Social Equity policy issues is planned for October 14, 2011. The conference is an extension of NAMC's ongoing commitment to increasing cultural awareness and making programs and services in Monterey County accessible to individuals and families from all cultural groups. The event will provide nonprofit and public agency leaders, directors and other policy-makers an opportunity learn how the current economic environment impacts disadvantaged populations, and to explore the importance of diversity/social equity in their organizations. NAMC members watch for your invitation in mid-August. |

2011 Compensation & Benefits Survey
Thanks to 431 participating nonprofits, reporting on over 23,000 jobs, the recently published 2011 survey is the biggest and most robust in its 33-year history! Fair Pay for Northern California Nonprofits: The 2011 Compensation and Benefits Survey will help your organization: - Set fair salaries and benefits to attract and retain the best employees
- Evaluate industry standards for compensation for a range of positions
- Budget and plan for the cost of adding new staff members
- Analyze your own jobs and compensation
- Stand up to the scrutiny of an increasingly skeptical public
- Compare your salaries and benefits with others in your community, not with organizations totally out of your local economic market.
And if that's not enough incentive for you, consider this: The survey also helps your agency find out how the local nonprofit community is coping with the recession. Here are some questions the survey can help nonprofit managers answer: - How do the salaries paid at our organization compare with those paid at similar, local organizations?
- Are organizations still freezing salary levels, or are more planning to increase salaries during the next year?
- How common are bonuses or incentive pay for jobs like ours?
- Are organizations shifting benefits costs to employees?
- How do pay levels for male and female Executive Directors compare?
NAMC members can request a free online copy of the report by emailing sue@alliancemonterey.org. Nonmembers, can purchase by clicking on www.nonprofitcomp.com, email Nonprofit Compensation Associates, the publishers of the survey, at survey@nonprofitcomp.com or call them at (510) 645-1005. |
