Regional Nonprofit Survey

Survey Deadline April 29

There is still time to participate in the Regional Nonprofit survey, which will allow us to gather data for Monterey County, along with a broad range of nonprofits across the larger Bay Area, including San Francisco,San Mateo County, the East Bay, Santa Clara County, and Santa Cruz Counties. This will help us paint a picture with funders, the media and policy makers on the key issues of nonprofits.

The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes (or less) to complete. We hope your organization will fill out this survey by going to:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/regionalpartners

NAMC is part of a coalition across 7 counties interested in public policy and advocacy for nonprofit organizations. Our goal is to magnify the voice and influence of nonprofits at both the state and local level. Each group works in different counties on various issues, but we share many of the same values. Thank you for helping to strengthen the nonprofit sector in our county and Northern California region.

Diversity & Social Equity

Fall Conference Planned
A conference on Diversity &  Social Equity policy issues is being planned for Fall, 2011. This topic is an extension of NAMC's ongoing interest in increasing cultural awareness and making programs and services in Monterey County accessible to individuals and families from all cultural groups. The event will provide managers and other leaders in nonprofit and public agencies an opportunity learn how the current economic environment impacts disadvantaged populations, and to explore the importance of diversity/social equity in their organizations. Watch for more details in future issues.

Plan Ahead for 2012
In recognition of these tough economic times, NAMC Core Leaders voted to waive membership dues for 2011. If you have not yet joined, now is the time to see how membership can benefit your organization! Click here for a membership application.

If you are currently a member, this is a friendly reminder to include NAMC dues in your budget for next year. Dues for 2012 will remain at the 2010 level: $50 for organizations with operating budgets under $1 million; $125 for organizations with operating budgets of $1 million or over (for services provided in Monterey County).
