Faith, Hope, and Charity
GPBC Theme for 2012
Every year I have tried to seek God's will and purpose for our church as we start a New Year. As we begin 2012, the Lord has led me to claim
1 Corinthians 13:12-13 as our theme for this year.
"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."
Although we do not know all that lies ahead of us in this year, we have the confidence that God, who brought us here, will also take us through!
Three spiritual disciplines for a successful journey are "faith, hope and charity!"
Faith to take God at His Word and obey it. Hope to rise daily knowing this could be the year that Jesus comes again! And finally, Charity that seasons our service to please God and our witness to draw others to Him!
The New Year now lies before us! Let each of us prepare for the journey! Are you ready?
