GPBC Celebrates 29 Years This Sunday, November 13, 2011
Congratulations, Pastor Rick and Regina Adams
It was twenty nine years ago that Rick and Regina Adams, believing that God would have them start a church in Portland, Oregon, that they packed up their family and drove the 3000+ miles from Jacksonville, Florida, to Portland, to start Greater Portland Baptist Church.

From its beginning with just a handful of people meeting in the Pastor's home, souls began to get saved through the evangelistic efforts of our Pastor. Soon, the church began public meetings in a rented 7th Day Adventist Hall, and then moved to a small building the church purchased. As the Lord continued to add to the church family, GPBC was able to occupy the current property on SE Main Street in 1989. Through the years, Greater Portland Baptist Church has continued to move forward under the leadership of Pastor Rick Adams. Souls are continuing to be saved, believers edified, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is being preached in Rockwood, Gresham, Portland, and around the world through our missions giving.
This Sunday, November 13, 2011, is the twenty ninth anniversary of Greater Portland Baptist Church and our founding pastor, Dr. Rick Adams. Please help us make this a great day for our church by being here for every service.

 Our special guests for the Anniversary Day services will be Mark and Mary Gray. Bro. Mark Gray is a gospel singer who is one of our favorites here at GPBC, and he will be a blessing as he ministers in testimony and song.
Every adult class and all "A" Teen Sunday School classes will meet together in the auditorium for a combined Sunday School with Bro. Mark Gray at 9:45am on Sunday.
Then, Bro. Gray will provide special music for the morning service at 11am, and Pastor Adams will preach. In the 6pm service, we will take a few minutes to recognize our Pastor and Mrs. Regina on twenty nine years of faithful ministry at GPBC, and then Bro. Gray will bring a concert of testimony and song.
You just don't want to miss this great day in the life of our church. We'll see you then!
