Real LIFE Begins with Jesus!
GPBC Fall SS Campaign Starts this Sunday! Oct 16-Nov 6
For centuries men have pursued LIFE in every avenue imaginable. Most failed miserably in finding it. Perhaps it would be easier to describe where Real Life cannot be found:
- Not in Unbelief - Voltaire was an infidel of the most pronounced type. He wrote: "I wish I had never been born."
- Not in Pleasure - Lord Byron lived a life of pleasure if anyone did. He wrote: "The worm, the canker, and grief are mine alone."
- Not in Money - Jay Gould, the American millionaire, had plenty of that. When dying, he said: "I suppose I am the most miserable man on earth."
- Not in Position and Fame - Lord Beaconsfield enjoyed more than his share of both. He wrote: "Youth is a mistake; manhood a struggle; old age a regret."
- Not in Military Glory - Alexander the Great conquered the known world in his day. Having done so, he wept in his tent, before he said, "There are no more worlds to conquer."
Where then is Real LIFE found? The answer is simple, in Jesus Christ alone.
God's Word tells us, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have LIFE, and that they might have it more abundantly!" John 10:10
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6
Yes, Real LIFE Begins with Jesus!
This week our Fall Sunday School Campaign begins!
Beginning this Sunday, and continuing through the next four weeks, every message on Sunday Morning will be dedicated to help us to better understand just exactly what this LIFE that Jesus promised affords to all that put their trust in Him!
Please make plans to be in Sunday School at 9:45am and bring a friend with you!
