"Praise the Lord, He Did it Again!"
I still have to smile when I think of the man that was driving under the influence and was pulled over by a police officer. He had a bottle in a brown paper sack sitting on the seat next to him. The officer asked him what was in the bottle. He replied, "Oh, Officer that's just a bottle of water."
The officer insisted on smelling it for himself. When he did, it was clear it was not water; it was a bottle of wine! When the officer confronted the driver, he responded, "Praise the Lord, He did it again!"
I must confess, I am thankful for God's abundant grace and blessings last Sunday! We had a great day with souls saved and baptized for the glory of God! While it is not unusual for us to see good crowds and people saved each week I am thankful that God just keeps on blessing!
I love the words to the song by Bill and Gloria Gaither "It Gets Sweeter!"
And if He keeps on blessing and blessing,
If He keeps on pouring it on,
If His love just keeps getting richer,
And if he keeps on giving a song.
If my cup gets fuller and fuller,
If my prayers keep on getting though,
And if it keeps getting better and better oh Lord,
I don't know what I'm gonna do.
My prayer is that God will "Do it again!" this Sunday!
Don't forget that we are still receiving our commitments for the Faith Promise Offering this next year! We are now at almost 98.7% or $3,591.46 in weekly commitments. Please remember that is just to cover our current budget. Let's continue to pray that we will see it go well over the top for the glory of God and for us to be able to take on new missionaries and mission's projects!
Let's determine to work and pray this week with the expectation that He will do it again...all for the Glory of God!
