We're off to a great start with The Merchant of Venice playing to enthusiastic audiences and rave reviews. The Charlotte Observer says, "Merchant means business. Charlotte Shakespeare's show finds comedy, but sticks to the hard truths of a tricky play." Check out the full review here and be sure to check out the production
running now through August 26 only!

Free workshop Saturdays at 4:30pm

Join us on stage for a special opportunity to explore Shakespeare's text and meet the actor playing Shylock.

Actor Christian Casper will lead audience members in an interactive conversation about the play. This is no ordinary "talk back" - audience members will be participating in fun acting exercises designed to let you experience the text for yourself. You'll gain greater insight into the play and the actor's approach to the text.

Workshops take place at 4:30pm on Saturdays August 18 and 25, right after the matinee, and last one hour.  No reservation or experience necessary. This workshop is recommended for adults and young people ages 12 and up.

Come early and join the Festivities!
