OCTOBER EDUCATION DIRECTOR LETTER
There is a word that connects all of you who open this newsletter. One might say YOGA, but that actual PRACTICE of yoga is what I am thinking of. PRACTICE is what keeps us involved in yoga, in this community.
8 Limbs has been around 16 years (this month!) because we address, as our name says, all of the limbs, or aspects, of yoga. We want you to have healthy bodies, but we also want you to have the tools to fight depression and anxiety, insomnia and self-doubt. We want you to understand why the breath affects the mind, why your habits are connected to your senses, your heart to your dharma.
That's what practice can reveal. And it's a subject we want to draw you into for discussion. I invite you to join several 8 Limbs teachers and I for the first Many Paths, an 8 Limbs Teacher Panel Series on Monday, October 22, with the topic of PRACTICE. Details below.
Read the full newsletter about practice and 8 Limbs' 16th anniversary on the 8 Limbs Blog .

NEW T-SHIRTS! We are excited to share the winning design from our first ever t-shirt graphic design contest. The shirts have just arrived and we have local designer Heather Elder to thank for contributing her beautiful and insightful artwork. "This hand-drawn design features over 150 uniquely illustrated petals. These petals represent the unique path that exists for every person if they seek it-the path that the practice of yoga helps to reveal." Much gratitude for the response and thoughtful efforts made by all contributors to support 8 Limbs and the community through this contest.
