Winston Churchill comes to Lake Mills!
Winston S. Churchill (as portrayed by Randy Otto) will be performing two shows at Water House on Saturday, December 10 - at 3pm and 7pm. Tickets are $10, seating is limited, and all proceeds will be donated to the Lake Mills High School History Department.

Food Pantry Fundraiser
On Tuesday, December 6, Water House Foods will be featuring the Lake Mills Food Pantry for their Fundraiser Tuesday. 20% of all sales from that day will go to our local food pantry.
Lunch at Water House is good any day. Make December 6 a day you have a good lunch - and help someone less fortunate to have a good meal as well!

12 Days of a Classic, Legendary Christmas
|
Join us on Friday, December 2 as we kick off the Christmas season with the annual Tree Lighting in Commons Park at 6pm. Enjoy cookies and hot beverages from Water House Foods, a visit from Santa, and music. It's a great way to get into the holiday spirit. Saturday, 12/3 is a busy day in our community. From a Cookie Walk to the House Tour, Pottery Fest at Ephraim Faience Pottery, craft shows, an Angel Fair at Rose Gallery and much more - you can be busy from morning until nighttime. Many of our local businesses will have Open Houses - don't miss a thing! Be sure to download a schedule of events here.

12 Days...a Shopping Theme
|
We love when you shop our Lake Mills businesses, and for an added incentive to "shop local," we have a 12 Days promotion for you to enjoy.  Make a purchase at a participating Lake Mills business between December 1 and December 12, fill out a red entry form and slip it in the wrapped box on the counter. After December 12, we will collect all of the boxes and combine all of the entries. We'll draw 12 winners and notify you if we have drawn your name. Winning prizes are all donated by our local businesses, and there are some great gifts!

First Annual Winter Market

If you're already counting the days until the Farmers' Market opens up in  May of 2012, never fear - we have just the event to tide you over! Some of your favorite Lake Mills Farmers' Market vendors will gather on Saturday, December 10 from 9am-4pm. Our hallways and Community Room will be bursting with food products, jewelry, scarves, rugs and other crafts. You'll be able to stock up on kettle corn, fudge, and honey. You'll marvel over hand-painted feathers, and of course, satisfy your java cravings at Glory Beans (they will have gift baskets too!). Hot food and more will be available. As a special treat, the Lake Mills City Band will perform Christmas music at 1:30pm!

Tour of Homes

A beloved Lake Mills tradition - the Tour of Homes - is back after a multi-year haitus. For years, the Friends of the Library brought us this popular annual event. Now the Rock Lake Activity Center has taken the reins, and this year promises to kick off your holiday season in style. Three gorgeous homes and a country bed and breakfast/guest house are the stars of the tour on Saturday, December 3. Pick up your tickets for $10 prior to Saturday; $15 on the event day. Interior designs by talented interior artists: Judy Johnson, Tom Boycks, Cynthia Weston and Mary O'Connor. |
